We spent our third and fifth days of our November Disney Trip at Hollywood Studios! So much had been added to this specific park since we last visited Disney and we wanted to experience it all, so we decided this park needed two days! Shout out again to Claire with A Pair of Ears Travel that helped make it all possible!

Below is a break down of what we did…and what we ate! Enjoy!

What we did (Day 3):

We slept in on day three! We went really hard day one and two and needed a little break so we slept in and took an easy morning!

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

When we first got in line, it was moving rather quickly so we weren’t that worried! But then…the ride closed temporarily without a ton of information as to how long it would be offline. We decided to chance it and stayed in line and it was worth it because this ride is really fun!

We then scooted over to Toy Story Land for lunch…which I’ll break down below! Overall, the rides of Toy Story Land are very fun….but…I really couldn’t wait to leave this area of the park. There isn’t a ton of room to walk around, very little coverage so the sun can get you quick, and because little kids love Toy Story, there were SO MANY strollers when we were there! Again, it’s super cool to see all the giant toys and the rides are incredible…but pack your patience! 🙂

Toy Story Mania!

This shooting game was SO much fun! We all wanted to ride this again and again and again!

Alien Swirling Saucers

This ride was a HOOT! You spin all over the place, but I never got nauseated! The kids absolutely loved this one…but truth be told, we all did! The line was long but moved fairly quickly!

Slinky Dog Dash (Lightning Lane)

This ride is SOOOOO much fun! It’s a true roller coaster with fun twists and turns…but nothing that left me sore, nauseated or scared! Plus the kids absolutely loved it! Be warned, the line is crazy long ALL THE TIME! And because there isn’t a lot of space in Toy Story Land, there isn’t much cover for the line so it’s a rough one…but the ride is so fun, you forget!

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue (Lightning Lane)

I’m going to be honest…I’m not a fan of this ride. Every time I get super nauseated but…I did it once and everyone else jumped on this thing anytime the line was short! There are multiple storylines so you could get a totally different experience each time, which is super neat!

Muppet*Vision 3D (Lightning Lane)

We absolutely loved this show but the Muppets hold a special place in our hearts! It’s very funny and it’s never a bad thing to take a seated break! 🙂

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

This ride is a classic but my kids HATED it! They were so pumped and loved the experience leading up to the ride but after the first drop, Lily had a death grip on me and I’ve never heard her scream like that before! Chris and I were ready to ride again…but quickly got outvoted! Side note, one of the funniest things we saw was Goofy hiding behind the column and jumping out at people while they walked up the lightning lane…quite funny to see that many people jump! 🙂

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Again, the line was rarely over 15 minutes so this was a fun one for the kids to jump on while I sat patiently outside! 🙂

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

The build up to this ride is just incredible! The attention to detail will make any Star Wars fan swoon! No matter which “role” you land for the ride, it’s so cool knowing you are flying THE Millennium Falcon! I ended up being a pilot in the front and I got a little nauseated, but whatever…I was in THE Millennium Falcon! 😉

What we did (Day 5):

Again, we slept in! This second go-around, we wanted to hit some favorites again! So we kicked our day off doing just that! The biggest thing about this day that was out of anyone’s control…it rained. This affected a lot of the rides but we made the best of it!

Toy Story Mania!

Muppet*Vision 3D

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Tatooine Traders

Of course, being big Star Wars fans, the kids had to have custom-made lightsabers! These aren’t the crazy expensive ones but are still just as fun!

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

I feel like each time you ride this ride, you experience something brand new! You never know where you’ll end up! We just loved this ride!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (Virtual Queue)

Ok, let’s talk about this ride. I’m just going to say it…best ride ever. I LOVED this experience because that’s exactly what it was…an experience! From the minute you get in line, you are in the middle of an epic battle that includes multiple stops and quite a show from the cast members before you even buckle in! This was definitely worth paying extra to ensure a spot! The line averages 150+ minute wait times. We were so nervous because we had a 2pm “reservation” for this ride…and it went offline that morning. We checked back all morning and sure enough, it was offline most of the day. It remained offline when our reservation hit and we were confident this meant we would miss out. But, because we kept watching the app so diligently and we happened to be in the area when it popped back up, we were able to jump on almost immediately when it came back online! This ride did have a little drop that we weren’t expecting and Lily was not thrilled about…but all in all, just amazing.

Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie

The rain had kicked it up a notch and we needed to get out of it for a minute. We stumbled upon this movie and it was so cute! I highly recommend it whether it’s raining when you visit or not! 🙂

Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage

We needed a little something to fill the time during the rain and this was another one we happened upon…but we ended up really enjoying it. The cast members are so talented and it was fun to revisit such a loved Disney classic!

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Ended on a bang! 🙂

What we ate:

Snacks: Popcorn, Pretzel, Starbucks, and, of course, Oga’s Cantina

We again took advantage of our souvenir popcorn buckets…which I think is just a genius hack for a snack throughout the day!

But let’s talk about Oga’s! The atmosphere is seriously SO cool. But be warned, it’s a bar. Kids might be allowed and they serve plenty of non-alcoholic drinks…but it’s a bar. We had a standing only table and you are limited to how long you can stay before they need to bring in the next group. It’s pretty loud and ending the day on your feet instead of seated was murder on my back…but I’m still super glad we checked it out! Our drink orders were so fun! I had the Bespin Fizz (rum and fun fruit juices), Chris stuck with a refreshing Bad Motivator IPA (beer), Harrison bravely chose Blue Bantha (blue milk with a sugar cookie) while Lily was a little safer with a Hyperdrive (which is a Powerade base with various fruit juices)!

Lunch: Woody’s Lunch Box, PizzeRizzo

First, Woody’s Lunch Box was tasty but my overall impression of Toy Story Land is that it’s small footprint makes it difficult to accommodate the large crowds. Even with ordering food on the mobile, we waited in a crazy long line…longer than most rides…to get the food and then there was a severe shortage on tables. Thankfully, we had a lovely family give us a heads up that they were about to leave so we got their table! With that being said, the food was good! We had the grilled-three cheese sandwiches and plant-based “totchos”!

PizzeRizzo was a delight! The mobile ordering was a breeze and it was a quick pick up! Plus, plenty of seating! I enjoyed the vegetable pizza with a side salad while Chris enjoyed the spicy Italian “sausage” sub with a side salad. The kids predictably ordered macaroni & cheese and cheese pizza from the kids menu! All in all, everyone was super jazzed about this meal!

Dinner: Pop Century, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano

For dinner on day three, we just went back to Pop Century and ate at Everything POP quick stations. I had a delicious Impossible Burger with fries…so good after a full day at the park!

Our last dinner was at Mama Melrose’s and it was the perfect end to the trip! It was such a peaceful, delicious environment.. And the food was delicious! After we tore up the initial bread basket, I ordered Mama’s Italian Pasta with Shrimp while Chris ordered Mama’s Italian Pasta without shrimp. Both were just stellar. But…topping the dinner off with coffee and tiramisu…literal chef’s kiss! 🙂

Links to what we wore:

Rachel: Leggings, Star Wars T-shirt, Minnie Hat, Earrings, Crossbody Bag

Lily: Minnie Ears, Baby Yoda T-shirt, Mandalorian T-Shirt (Old Navy), Leggings

Harrison: Pew Pew T-Shirt, Baby Yoda T-shirt (Old Navy), Mesh Track Pants

Chris: Pew Pew T-Shirt, Baby Yoda T-shirt

We loved Hollywood so much we spent two days here! Next time, we would stick to just one day and maybe schedule a break or rest day in the middle so we can recharge!

Our days at Animal Kingdom and Epcot are linked here and Magic Kingdom will be here soon!
