My eyelashes have never been anything I’ve been particularly proud of…they have always been these short nubby little things. But, I’ve also never been too keen on doing anything about it. The traditional lash boosters I found were insanely expensive and I just couldn’t justify the cost. Well, over the summer during one of my Instagram scrolling sessions, I came across a DIY version that looked easy enough to try. Four months later…and I’m sold enough to share!

You might not be able to see a difference from the photos…but I can tell a difference in my normal day to day…so you might have to trust me!
It’s a combination of castor oil and essential oils that I funneled into an empty mascara tube. I apply this just like mascara each evening at the culmination of my nightly skin care routine (i.e. wash, serum, moisturizer). Recently, I started adding a little to my brows but I haven’t noticed a difference in those just yet.
This castor oil I bought online came with the clean and empty mascara tube so I didn’t have to go looking for one. To create, I filled the tube approximately 3/4 of the way full with castor oil and then added 6 drops each of lavender, cedarwood, and rosemary. *Bonus, it smells delicious.
Again, I’ve been using this for four months and haven’t run into any issues and have been happy with the results. I’d love to know if you’ve tried!
